As you already know, there are lots of ways that you can help your child. Often taking time out of our busy lives to look for support or answers is a really helpful step – but it’s jolly hard to do that sometimes.
If you have already made contact with us and come along to any activities, you are already taking steps towards enabling both your child and yourself to become successful learners who want to engage with the community.
As staff and parents we can always do more to support each other, so that children become enthusiastic and independent learners.
Over the next year we hope to add all sorts of tips and activities to this website. We want parents to share their knowledge of how their children learn. We want to use this knowledge to develop ideas that parents and children can use at home and during centre activities.’
You can help us by giving us your ideas and experience.
What works for you?
Have you got any good ideas?
What would you like to see on this site?
Some areas that we thought we could develop are:
o Healthy eating ideas - healthy snacks and meals
o Things to do and make
o Parenting information eg informal tips, useful website addresses, access to formal parenting courses
o Child Health and development tips
o Learning activities for the whole family.
All your ideas are welcome, especially if you have tried and tested them with outstanding results!
